Other Important Information for Those Attending |

Concessions – there will be food, soft drinks and water available for sale outside the stadium in the east and west plaza areas. There will be no food sold or allowed to be brought inside the actual stadium. However, soft drinks and water will be sold and allowed to be brought inside the actual stadium. No “outside” food or beverages will be allowed inside the stadium pursuant to the concessions contract with the Cotton Bowl. Parking - When you get to Fair Park, there will be signs directing you where to go in order to park and enter the Cotton Bowl. All buses need to enter in through parking GATE 7 located at the southeast corner of the fairgrounds near Pennsylvania Ave. Click here for a map of the fair grounds. If your group is bringing a bus, please prepare a large sign to post on your bus to help your group members identify it in the parking lot after the event is over. There will be thousands of people and hundreds of buses that all look similar and it will be difficult to tell them apart! Prohibited items – strollers, wagons, coolers, backpacks, large bags. Umbrellas will be allowed into the Cotton Bowl in the event of rain. Prohibited items will be secured through a claim check process at tents located in the plaza areas on the east and west side of the stadium. CATHOLIC SCHOOL CHILDREN - If you are participating in the miraculous medal competition then you need to go to the two entrances at the Cotton Bowl that will have miraculous medals and deposit a medal into the box with the name of your school on it. PRIESTS - All Priests are invited to participate in the procession down on the field. Priests involved in the procession must check-in near parking Gate 3 (between stadium gates 9 and 10) to pick up credentials and report to the dressing room by 7pm. They should contact Betty Hoag with any questions: H-Ph: 214-528-6245; C-214-912-8533 EMAIL: jhoag@utd.edu VIP / Volunteers / Media - Should come in at parking gate 3 for their reserved parking, credentials, instruction, and assignments. This is located between stadium gates 9 and 10.
At present, based on the number of volunteers that have already pledged their service, it appears that we now have a sufficient amount of volunteers for the event. Nonetheless, for a program of this size, you never know for sure. So, just in case, we ask that you consider serving as a “back-up” volunteer. Please stop by the credentials tent whenever you arrive to see if there is still any need for greeters and ushers. If so, you will be provided an assignment at that time. The credentials tent will be located near the stadium team ramp at the southeast corner of the Cotton Bowl between stadium gates 9 and 10. Here is a hotlink to a map of the fairgrounds for your use. http://www.dallascityhall.com/dallas/eng/pdf/park_and_rec/FairParkMap.pdf Cotton Bowl management has only allowed a specific number of complimentary parking passes and reserved parking spaces for our volunteers. As a result, we will regrettably not be able to accommodate any special parking for “back-up” volunteers. We are deeply grateful for your willingness to help! God bless you, Jim Jenkins
